AI can’t innovatively improve quality, but it can investigate corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) with minimal, or no, human involvement. It can similarly pinpoint the root cause of the most common complaints, tell if training is effective, and the exact combination of materials and workers to increase production.

In most cases, these tasks can be done quicker and more efficiently by AI. This alone means companies can move faster while maintaining quality. One of the problems with any innovation is not knowing exactly how it’s going to turn out. Unforeseen consequences have a way of derailing seemingly cutting-edge ideas. Companies that use advanced analytics don’t have to learn the hard way because applications with the right data can tell them what will happen before they implement anything. Ideas that once seemed too risky to try can be put to the test quickly with no risk before any investment is made.
