SyncOperations serves as a real-time data historian that collects and analyzes data from both the machine level and from disparate company systems to offer production professionals, process engineers, and continuous improvement teams an improved path to actionable information. SyncOperations also integrates with SyncManufacturing, the company’s planning, scheduling, and execution system, as well as SyncKanban, an inventory replenishment software for adjustments and full synchronization of the manufacturing operation and extended supply chain.

SyncOperations Software Helps Increase Workflow

The Hamilton Arc View Handheld allows for measurement checks, the reading of measuement values, and the configuration and calibration of sensors in the run-up to performing measurements. The Arc View Handheld can communicate wirelessly and in parallel to the interface of a programmable logic controller with up to 31 sensors at the same time. A maximum of four sensors can be actively monitored on the display and queried for the measurement results. In addition to the conventional numerical representation of the read-out values, the handset also offers the user a graphical representation in real time. For example, fluctuating pH levels can be displayed as a measurement graph. Furthermore, the quality of measurements, as well as the functionality of the sensor, can be controlled.

Videojet Technologies has improved its CLARiSUITE software product line with the launch of CLARiSUITE WebServer Edition. The new software improves overall equipment effectiveness, by assisting manufacturers remove inefficiencies and the risk of operator error including data entry and job selection. The upgraded software helps enable manufacturers to monitor and control a specific job, line, or printer from multiple locations and is adapted to run as a service in modern IT environments with physical and virtual servers. Videojet’s CLARiSUITE WebServer software solution reduces the amount of time operators need to visit their production sites and lines, as they are able to observe the status of the printer, configure it, and download jobs over any web browser within their networked environment.

CLARiSUITE Software Improves Accessibility and Productivity

DENSO Robotics introduces its new Enhanced Multirobot (EMU) simulation and offline programming software, which serves as a master controller for robot project files imported from the company’s WINCAPS III application. EMU allows users to simulate and program up to 16 DENSO robots in a single automation workcell. WINCAPS III allows a robot to be programmed on an offline computer. A 3-D simulation feature enables layout of an entire automation workcell in a virtual environment. The software lets users import CAD drawings in standard VRML and DirectX formats, and easily input or change variables. Users can also verify reach, determine obstacle clearances, detect collisions, troubleshoot and debug programs, and determine cycle time. In addition, an Easy Teach feature allows users to move the robot to a particular point by simply clicking on the surface of the virtual model. 

Multirobot Offline Programming Software Allows 3-D Simulation

 (CMP) has officially changed its name to CMP Pharma. According the company, this new name more appropriately reflects the nature of its current business as a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on niche products that address patient needs. The company manufactures and markets branded and generic, prescription and non-prescription drugs to hospitals, long-term care facilities, and retail markets.

Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America

 (PhRMA) and the National Minority Quality Forum have developed a national campaign to help increase diversity in clinical trials.
  
  The I’m In campaign will raise awareness about the importance of clinical research and increase participation by diverse patient populations to help researchers develop potential new medicines. Partnerships with patient advocacy organizations, provider groups, individual physicians, clinical trials sponsors, and researchers will help to drive campaign awareness and involvement.
  
  According to FDA, African Americans represent 12% of the US population but only 5% of clinical trial participants and Hispanics make up 16% of the population but only 1% of clinical trial participants. Inclusion of individuals of varied races, ethnicities, ages, gender, and sexual orientation in clinical trials can help to prevent disparities in the evaluation of potential new medicines.
  
  I’m In will support the National Minority Quality Forum’s Clinical Trial Engagement Network, a solution to help accelerate the inclusion of underrepresented populations in clinical trials. Authorized users will be able to identify potential clinical trial participants by using zip code level mapping of disease clusters and simultaneously identifying and connecting points of care and community resources that can assist with site selection and patient recruitment.
