The company will highlight how its GMP services combine engineering, consulting, equipment qualification, and facility validation to better integrate its services during Farmaforum, which is being held in Madrid from Sept. 17–18, 2025.

Telstar, part of the Syntegon Group that provides aseptic process solutions, announced on Aug. 18, 2025 that it will be showcasing its integrated good manufacturing practice (GMP) services during Farmaforum in Madrid, which is being held Sept. 17–18. The company has grouped their engineering, consulting, equipment qualification, and facility validation under one division within a 4.0 environment of process automation and digitalization. Telstar can be found at Farmaforum at Booth G42-H41.

Telstar’s GMP services includes an in-house multidisciplinary team of experts available throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to final inspection approval. These services include engineering, GMP facility construction, and supply chain support, as well as quality and safety services. GMP digitalization is available to connect and integrate plat operations which can enhance supply chain security and traceability of components, products, and processes. Preventive and predictive maintenance, equipment upgrades, process optimization, validation and qualification, and design solutions are also available.

GMP environment process automation solutions

The company will be promoting its digitalization and process automation solutions, including Telstar Insights, a preventive and predictive maintenance platform. The platform is a non-intrusive cloud platform that collects and analyzes real-time operating equipment data to anticipate potential production problems. “Capable of providing comparative data of assets of the same type in similar production conditions, this platform allows for the generation of a customized specific predictive and preventive maintenance plan and improve overall equipment efficiency (OEE),” the company stated in a press release (1).

Manufacturing or plant digitalization

Telstar offers solutions for maintaining traceability of materials, processes, and resources at a manufacturing or distribution plant with its Ip6 industrial software platform. Ip6 digitalizes processes in regulated sectors and is designed to be fitted into logistics and materials management. It is parameterizable and scalable and is GMP and FDA validatable.

Syntegon Group provides pharmaceutical process and packaging solutions for liquid and solid pharmaceutical products. Syntegon acquired Telstar in June 2024, giving Syntegon an expanded portfolio for seamless line solutions.

“With the acquisition of Telstar, we will enhance our portfolio of innovative technologies and many successful references in the market. Our customers will benefit from even more comprehensive solutions, seamless processes, and lifecycle services,” said Torsten Türling, CEO of the Syntegon Group, in a press release at the time of acquisition (2). “At the same time, we can jointly capture growth opportunities and expand our market presence.”

Automation in sterile drug product manufacturing

During CPHI Milan in 2024, Klaus Ullherr, senior product manager at Syntegon, spoke with Pharmaceutical Technology® about challenges companies may face when working to comply regulatory requirements for aseptic processing and how automated systems can help manufacturers achieve their goals (3). In the interview, Ullherr details the challenges involved in maintaining clean air and ensuring that the air that flows onto a machine does not come into contact with product. He stresses that automated solutions can reduce human intervention and protect product from contamination.
