The ROSS Model HSM-405SC-25 Inline High Shear Mixer

The ROSS Model HSM-405SC-25 Inline High Shear Mixer with solids/liquid injection manifold (SLIM) Technology is designed for production floors that require flexibility. The stainless-steel portable skid features a built-in workbench that helps save time and money. It allows the mixer to be used anywhere in a plant, eliminating the need for separate mixers for each vessel or product.

As an external mixer, the Inline SLIM can be piped to the recirculation loop of virtually any size vessel. Featuring sanitary tri-clamp connections, this 3A-compliant machine can be cleaned in place or quickly disassembled for deep cleaning and sanitation. Using the tabletop workbench, operators can open bags and load powders into the hopper that sits on top of the mixer, ensuring a consistent feed and minimizing aeration.

The SLIM is a unique rotor/stator device capable of injecting powders directly into a fast-moving liquid stream without the use of an eductor or pump. Engineered for high-speed and high-volume mixing requirements, this device can wet out powders and create a fine immediate dispersion, greatly reducing the occurrence of floating powders, lumps, and agglomerates.

The Agilent 8697 Headspace Sampler-XL Tray

In addition to its existing 48-vial capacity tray, Agilent now offers the Agilent 8697 Headspace Sampler-XL Tray, which features a 120-vial capacity. The 8697 tray includes new instrument intelligence features that increase uptime and operator ease-of-use relative to its predecessor.

The device’s intelligence features are enabled through self-monitoring operations and guiding operators that use various troubleshooting and maintenance procedures. The system performs automated system checks, including leak checks, early maintenance feedback, and self-diagnostics. Additionally, the new tray can be run with alternate carrier gasses due to the separation of vial pressurization and the sample loop for added method flexibility.

Additionally, the complete gas chromatography headspace system is designed to perform checks to ensure that the system and data quality are up to standard operating procedure standards to avoid recollection of samples and reruns.

ROSS Inline Ultra High Shear Sanitary Mixer Model HSM-715XSUHD-250 

The ROSS Inline Ultra High Shear Sanitary Mixer Model HSM-715XSUHD-250 is designed to deliver exceptional dispersion, emulsification, and homogenization at high throughput. Featuring the patented X-Series rotor/stator in type AL-6XN stainless steel, this mixer takes product through the center of the stator and moves it outward through radial channels in rows of concentric rotor/stator teeth. The combination of high tip speed and extremely close tolerances between the interlocking channels subjects the product to intense shear in every pass.

Designed for continuous operation the HSM-715XSUHD-250 is driven by a 250 HP washdown duty inverter-duty motor and equipped with heavy-duty tapered roller bearings. Its mixing chamber can withstand 150 psig at 250 °F and features a stainless-steel jacket for heating/cooling. This model is clean-in-place compliant, with the back of the mixing chamber relieved to promote thorough cleaning around the seal area. With its ability to produce top-quality dispersions, suspensions, and emulsions with uniform size distributions, this versatile and easy-to-clean mixer is ideal for various industries such as food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, adhesives, and composites manufacturing.

Emerson’s Rosemount 319 Flushing Ring is designed to provide accurate differential pressure measurement and lower maintenance for a wide range of differential pressure applications. Available in both traditional and compact options, the rings provide a process-to-seal connection that allows for faster diaphragm seal maintenance without disconnecting them from process flanges. Both rings come pre-assembled, including the flushing ring, matching valves, and connections, and come leak-tested so users can immediately mount products to vessels.
